  • What could you spend it on that would ensure that the money would actually stay in the country?. Thanks to Mr Brown, you may have noticed that we don't actually manufacture anything anymore!. pretty much all our wealth comes from service industries and the City.

I'd spend it all on British made Union Jacks, bulldogs, Elizabeth Duke jewellery, bowler hats, Tetley tea bags, numerous full English breakfasts and also get a load of swallow tattoos onmy body from British tattoo studios. Should do the trick.

Come up my road after you've had that lot and you'll get attacked by the Socialist Workers Party.

That would fail with consequences much bigger than we face now because money would be just chucked away. I would rather want this money to go to entrepreneurs and scientists which can develop future assets what will generate even more money in long run. And people after all should earn it not to be entitled to it. There is no such thing as free money. Somebody makes it with hard work and if people are nurtured too often they loose sense of reality which is also major cause of current economic problems...free rides and irresponsibility...results in incapable individuals which take everything for granted.

Rather than hand out 'free' chunks of money I would rather stop having the wool pulled over my eyes. Extra duty on petrol and alchohol, extra N.I., higher VAT.
How about not reducing the value of the pound by 28%

In short how about a bit of honesty and competence. Sorry, I am really hacked off tonight. It's the Iraq war all over again, blinding stupidity in the face of the bleedin obvious, and the same endless wrong tune being played.

Here's an idea. How about Brown, and Straw, and all those others spineless liars call a press conference, apologise for their mistakes, and immediately resign. Let's have the election he bottled, and at least vote for someone we er. voted for, rather than some anointed by a previously disgraced politican, who should in their case be serving a sentence at the Hague.

Great! You should get grumpy more often. Wish I could thank this a dozen times.

Except for the "loose" bit - very good post.
  • I'd buy a Plazma Screen, a Wii, an X Box (plus games to go with them), iPod, and loads and loads of Pot Noodles.

I'd need something to keep me occupied for the next 5 years while we recover from this mess.

Oh. I'll add to that a petrol driven Generator so that I can continue to enjoy my purchases while living under a bridge.

i can turn that £10k into £60k.. just send a cheque to.... :p

an interesting idea, but i reckon scammers will bust the system quick enough. (using fake / stolen ID's..?)

  • I'd hope they'd put a nice caveat on that like "must have resided in the UK for all of your life" or it would be super-scrounging time for a lot of people.

10k off my mortgage - nice!
