Used to have a 690c and you did it as so:-
Turn the printer off and remove the cable that connects the printer to the computer. Turn the printer back on.
Press and hold the Resume (top) button for approximately five (5) seconds.
Maybe its the same? That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
It'll either be the power button or the form-feed (think that's same as the resume) - don't think you need to disconnect from the pooter though..
Eeee them were t'days - used a DJ 500 (mono) for a long time - incredibly well-built printer (had an 880c later - didn't last anywhere near as long).
ps - if it doesn't work just by pressing the button for a few seconds, try switching off, then hold the button in and switch on.0 -
Thanks guys. I know it's a bit steam age but has been working fine until I fitted a new colour cartridge now only prints one colour. I can test on black but not on colour.
I don't have and can't find a manual.Named after my cat, picture coming shortly0 -
Ha ah... found the HP support site (just knew it was there somewhere) http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?product=60939&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&submit.y=7&submit.x=5&lang=en&cc=us

I've just had the same problem with a cartridge for HP Deskjet not the same model though. My test sheet came out grey and no lines on it at all. I have now emailed Phoenix cartridges - it was a photo one, the first I have bought, colour & black ones have been alright before. If they don't reply I'm going to phone them as it does appear to be the cartridge as there was dark ink on it and no sign of any colour.Torgwen..........

Thanks MAH, I've already tried the HP site but printer only tests in B&W. A picture will only print in one colour. As printer was ok before changing cartridge I'm taking it back for a replacement.ManAtHome wrote:Ha ah... found the HP support site (just knew it was there somewhere) http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?product=60939&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&submit.y=7&submit.x=5&lang=en&cc=us
