Which L&G Tracker?

Hi,

I'm going to invest a £500 lump sum this week in a L&G Tracker, wrapped in an ISA before 6th April. First and foremost, I'm doing this to take advantage of the £85 quidco cashback, and am unlikely to add any more to the fund as I'd like to have a more rounded think about how to invest in the new tax year.

I just wondered if somebody could comment on which of the L&G Trackers might stand out as the best home for my £500. My partner is also doing the same, so it would be two lots of £500. It's not much, and we could even move the money out after getting the £85 cashback, but it would be good to get the best of the trackers from the onset and leave it there if it has a decent performance.

The trackers are:

UK Index
European Index
US Index
Japan Index
Pacific Index
Global Technology Index
Global Health and Pharmaceuticals Index
Global 100 index
UK 100 index

Thanks :o .

The area that many think most likely to do best from those would be Pacific, maybe Japan, but Japan has its own way of letting expectations down.

That doesn't mean that the L&G index will do well. Just had a look at their Global 100 index and its performance against sector is woeful.

But anyway, you might be better looking at fund supermarkets before buying straight from L&G. Perhaps some of them do quidco too..

A fund supermarket will give you more flexibility for the future.
