Thanks mazza. I've just done that and the filter was completely clean and free of any blockage. Also the drain tube is as it should be, not kinked or squashed anywhere.

Might end up being a call out job if it happens again.

Ok....machine is definitely not draining. Just emptied it again manually via little tube on front and taken filter out. Still clean.

Behind the filter is a little grey coloured 'thing' (sorry, dont know what to call it) that spins. This is spinning freely ...I tried the machine on again with the filter out so I could see if it was turning or was still.

Has anyone any idea if there is anything else I could be/should be doing before I call them out? It is still under warranty but I dont want hit with a bill for something that wont be covered like a blockage. Especially if it's something I could have fixed myself.

Do you mean the impeller? It is connected to the pump shaft and would not "spin" freely...

Thanks brian...I did fix it. It turned out to be a very small wad of something (material like) that was stuck in the plumbing under the sink, just where the washing machine drain hose goes into the plastic pipework. It narrows slightly where the pointed plastic plumbing part (no idea what it's called, sorry) goes into the drain hose.

total.....I have no idea if the 'impeller' is the thing I was talking about. All I know is if I stuck my finger in, I could turn it.

Thanks guys. I do usually come back to update my threads but I forgot about this one. Appreciate your replies.
