    Didn't have to check this in the end....I found the answer myself....

    One-room-rate applies for LHA if a single claimant (with no deps) is entitled to SDP......

    REGARDLESS of whether the property is shared or not.

    So to re-iterate my earlier point.......

    To help the OP you need to link to regs that show this. I *think* that showing them an Income Support award that shows the Severe Disability Premium might do the trick, especially if you take a DLA leaflet and ask them to show you where the "Severe" rate of DLA is in it. ;)

    I suspect the Senior Benefits Officer has either not been involved in actual assesment or has failed to actually check what they are signing. :confused:
