Have a new Eco meter and needing help with Owl Monitor
Options
Hi Folks,
Today I have had a new Eco20:20 meter fitted but with maths not being my strong point I was hoping someone could advise what tariff settings I needs as I understand I need to work out some calculations that I don't understand on how to do.
From 7 in the morning - Band A (for the first 900kwh p/a) is 17.50p and then after the first 900kwh used it goes to Band B which is 10.36p.
Then from 9 at night it goes to the Eco tariff of 8.28p until 7am the next morning.
I'm sorry but I haven't got a clue on how to work it out. At the moment I have Tariff one set at 0.18 from 7am and Tariff 2 from 9pm set at 0.8.
I really appreciate your help.
Thank you
Sam

I suspect what you have done is the best you will be able to do, I think that your 900Kwh will be split between the Qtrs so for the first 220 odd units per qtr you are charged the A rate and then the B rate on the rest, you could just set the day rate at 10.36p, and add on a yearly standing charge of £64.26 difference of A - B x 900 That is assuming you will use 900 units on day rate. These are my thoughts and no one else's, so like any public forum advice - check it out before entering into contracts or spending your hard earned cash!
I don't know everything, however I do try to point people in the right direction but at the end of the day you can only ever help yourself!0
