I've just ordered a new PC and decided to go for the no keyboard option. The two on offer are wireless ones, but the keyboard is always used next to the machine anyway.
What's more, it appears that there are no LEDs indicating caps lock etc, although there probably are indicators on screen.
I've read about Microsoft's F-Lock, where all the function keys perform *new* functions such as Undo (whatever happened to Ctrl+Z?), and you can turn on the F Lock to revert back to the 'old' ones. Thing is that F Lock is off by default and can't be changed. Other manufacturers such as Logitech also seem to be going down this road.
The Enter key is also different on different keyboards. I currently have a Mitsumi KFK-EA4XA keyboard. Google Images shows this keyboard (see here) with an Enter key 1 row high, like this one:

It also has the \| key to the right of the ]} key, which can be seen at the top of the above picture.
However, my keyboard (the Mitsumi KFK-EA4XA one) has an Enter key like this:

In Staples there are some Logitech and Microsoft ones with a photograph on the box of the US version (with # on the 3 key) and the Enter in the first picture.
I would like the one I already have, so how do I know that a particular keyboard will have one? Will all UK keyboards be the same style?

All I would say dont worry about the enter key to much or the shortcuts
as they are set up in XP if using that.
Number lock has to be set to come on at startup in the Bios.0 -
Hi
I have the Logitech MX Duo keyboard and mouse, and the keys are the same setup as yours.
Highly recommend them, excellent quality and build.
This ones mine

Thanks for the responses. I've found this page one the Microsoft site that shows different international layouts. More here.
It appears that the straight Enter key version with \| near backspace is the US version. I'm pretty sure this is right, so it's confusing to find that the picture on the box (or on a website) isn't the same as the product on sale.0
