Geographical Phone Number with switchboard?

Hi,
I currently use an 0844 number for my business as I dont want to give out home number. I previously looked into getting a geographical number for the area and would much prefer these but at the time the ones with a switchboard online were all high priced. I need the switchboard to set opening times, hold music, redirect calls etc so had to go with the 0844 at the time (before some people complain about the 0844 number, I can also be contacted by online form, email, msn, yahoo and mobile so i'm not trying to rip customers off, merely give them another way to contact me should they choose to). Does anyone know of a cheap to reasonable priced geographical number I can use that has an online switchboard? Setting up the opening hours and the 'your in a queue' or similar function are the main things I would need. Thanks

Sorry forgot to say - main thing I def need is the 'whisper' you get when it is a business call - as all calls personal and business come through one phone when i'm working from home. I need to know wether it is a business call before answering so I can put on my 'posh voice' :P - at present it says a business call and I press * to accept it.

Thank you but that seems to be more or less the same as I have just now with an 0844 number - i am looking for a similar set up with a geographical number such as 0208 or 0113 etc

From what I can see its 0845 and 0870 numbers which ar to be free - not 0844 and 0871 (they kept that bit fairly quiet). WIll try the company you mention although I would prefer a set-fee package each month rather than with call charges - some of the older customers think of this as a chat line for when they are bored and can witter away about their neighbours and grandchildren for half hour plus! Frustrating when you are busy and even more so if you paying for call lol.

You could get a FREE Geographical Number, with Free Connection, NO Line Rental ,and FREE Voicemail from these people http://www.orbtalk.co.uk/free-number/ and then point it at / divert it to your 0844 Switchboard number. All you would pay for is the diverted call. You just need to keep your a/c in credit.
