Newly diagnosed sciatica ... what to expect ?

the friend I mentioned earlier in this thread who had the diagnosis of cord compression ignored suffers from numbness as well as from restless leg syndrome. she gets relief from the RLS by using a circulation booster, and swears the numbness has reduced(!?) since she started using this... obviously it's anecdotal evidence but I know she took out a loan to buy one for herself after borrowing one - and she's not easily swayed into breaking her budget! Having used it myself I can literally see the difference as my feet go from blue to pink...
