MYOB Accounts & UK ?

Had a letter from Mamut saying MYOB withdrawn from UK market and although we already paid several hundred for MYOB software we now have to buy £179 mamut one and pay a compulsory £180 year for service! Does anyone know anything more about MYOB withdrawing from uk and if so will we still be able to access old data? Have tried transferring across data to test QB 2008 and Sage but none do what we want and it only transfers across basic opening balance data and not historical transactions (which are needed for uk hmrc records etc). Is there anyone on here who knows whats happening with MYOB (emailing them has no reply so far) and has anyone found a suitable alternative to MYOB Accounts Plus?
