Thanks for the suggestions. Hair Traffic trainees charge £15.30, I nearly fainted!!! Someone said that Foxy's on Agincourt Ave charge £15 for a fully trained stylist, anyone tried it?

The only colleges that do hairdressing here are Tower St and Whiterock apparently, neither of which would be any good (I need to go at lunchtime). Ditto Holywood, too far away. :(

suki, could I go to a barber or would they tell me to wise up? I have longish hair with a few layers.

I was in the barbers myself today and asked her to do mine, She said she didnt do ladies hair so I asked if she was a qualified hairdresser or not - she said yes, so I said you now do ladies :D

I had an inch off all round and my layers redefined (ends had got all straggly) and the fringe re cut - all for £8. A trim alone (not the layers done) usually costs me between 3 and 5 quid in the barbers ( I try anyone who hasnt anyone sat in a chair) Im not tight. I just hate paying over the top when I dont have a complex style and just need it kept tidy
  • Love your tag!!!
  • Pity it has to be Belfast. You can get a cut for £9 in Larne.

Is this really cheaper? I'm not bothered about having my hair washed and dried so it might suit.

Tara, yes, a dry cut does away with the washing and conditioning palavar, so you only need one member of staff's attention. Maybe ring one or two if you aren't sure and ask how much they charge for it.

Hope you get it done by the time you need it.

I ended up going to Peter Mark training salon, it was free but I tipped £5. Bargain (it was nice too). :A

    Thanks again for the tips.
