  • Oooh I'm so jealous - I wanna come but can't justify the cost on my £20 a week budget - if anyone spots any 99p train/flights from edinburgh - just lemme know.

I'd love to meet you all and if it wasn't for money, I'd have suggested it sooner! Especially want to wish ms_london bon voyage!

Me too!! I live in Yorkshire, but all my family are in London, so if I can arrange a visit to coincide, it would be fab.

A picnic in Hyde Park/Kensington Palace Gardens, or Holland Park might be nice?

Last time I stopped off in Hyde Park for a sit down in a deck chair as I was knackered pushing the pushchair all the way from Nottinghill Gate, I got collared by a guy telling me I had to pay! I'm sure they used to be free  ?

  • Sounds like an idea (can't do march though).

May I suggest the British Museum? It's free and I know a place nearby (practically opposite forbidden planet) where you can get a decent 2 course lunch for £10, or if you walk a bit further towards piccaddilly (next to woman in white) there's the pizza hut lunchtime buffet offer - is it 6.99ish?
Still wish I could buy a TARDIS instead of a house!

I visit London every other weekend so if it coincides with one of those visits I would like to go.

I'm up for that. Let me know where and when, and I'll be there!

  • I am up for this! Sounds good to me.

And yes, we should pick a month and a location.
