Where can Icesave be reinvested

Options
I got my certificate to reinvest my Icesave isa - does this still count as a transfer despite no choice? I would like to go to a branch rather than online = any advice please?

The certificate entitles you to transfer but it MUST be done by 5th April or the ability to transfer and retain the tax-free benefits will be lost.

Halifax ISA Direct Reward permits transfers which can be carried out in branch, offers 3% guaranteed for 12 months and permits up to 4 penalty-free withdrawals in the 12 month period. See this post for alternatives (scroll down to find those variable/fixed-rate Cash ISAs which accept transfers).
  • Hi i'm in the same boat, only JUST got my Isa certificate from ICESAVE, I'm not sure what to do just transfer it to an ISA with my bank HSBC to make sure I dont get taxed on it anymore as its in the last month of the financial year and then re-invest somewhere with a better interest rate?
Or shop around and try to put it somewhere for the next year?
I'm worried about the deadline being so close, and figure my own bank are more likely to be quicker off the mark? I had looked at Natwest and the Halifzx saver above, but am worried as I don't bank with either of those..
    ANy help much appreciated!
    thanks.

You certainly don't need to bank with Halifax (from memory, there may be a requirement to open another account with Natwest). A friend (not a Halifax customer) arranged to transfer to the Halifax one on Saturday morning in branch - it took virtually no time.

Your Icesave transfer should be even easier, all you should need is your certificate, a cheque for the Icesave funds and a couple of pieces of ID.
