Hi
Heard that the company is folding and I haven't been in employment long enough to be entitled to any redundancy pay. My employer has started sacking ppl left right and centre as an excuse perhaps to alleviate the inevitable.
I am in Harringey, divorced and pay my rent to my landlord every month (who lives elsewhere). I rent a room in a house of 4 bedrooms and 4 other tenants. I am also currently in an IVA.
First and foremost, how do I go about claiming JSA and LHA should the need arise and how long will the process take? What forms should I fill out and what documentation will they ask for?
Also how do I keep up with the IVA if survival becomes the issue? I have never been on benefits and hence don't a clue how to go about it.
Cheers.

I also forgot to mention that I only just moved into the house and have only paid rent there for 1 month. Before that I was living with family (not immediate) but still family.0
