Defaults for late payments & credit rating

Hi,

Sorry if there is already a a thread about this but i couldn't see one. I have paid my card (and a loan) late a few times and been sent a default letter but payment has always been brought up to date the following month and i have never been over 60 days late with a payment. The loan has now been paid off early but does this mean i could still have a bad credit rating because of a few late payments that were paid soon after the due dates and the loan was paid off early??? I made payment late once on the loan due to a fraud on my account and about 4 late payments on my credit card over the last few years.

Thanks

Well i'd check my credit file to see if it's on there. Was the letter an actual notice of a default or just a letter threatening it if you don't make your payments on-time.
