Well, IMHO this cleaner is fab (vax rapide)
We have cream carpets and 3 cats (great planning there!) and this gets our carpet up like a shiny new pin every time we use it, which is quite often with our rascals!
Even my partner can figure out how to use it, and even how to empty it.
I'd recommend it.2 angels in heaven :A0 -
Well it didn't clean my cream carpets very well unfortunately...."There are no pockets in a shroud..."0

what's worse is when you have black carpet and cream cats - now that was bad planning on my behalf :rotfl:0 -
The Vax Rapide model from the original post is also available from LX Direct for £79.99.
Type Cat No: PB112N into the search box.
Add a £15 discount code (if you are eligible) and the £3.50 delivery charge and the total comes to £68.49 for a brand new machine incl. delivery.0 -
Bissell also do a similar style of product (available over the web or at argos), and comparisons elsewhere in these forums have suggested their models perform better than the vax products.

Got one of these for my Mum last year. Easy to use and set up and as easy as a normal vacuum to move around. Picked up plenty of dirt on my Mums carpets but cant say they came up spotless. Needed to treat spot stains with a spray cleaner first.
Also, this one doesnt have the hose and hand attachement for stairs and edges (need the deluxe model for that). IMO not bad for a basic cleaner but you would need the hose tool on the Deluxe model to make it more flexible.
Bissels do tend to get better reviews, but can be very heavy to move around.

Bissel has abysmal reviews of poor breakdown! I would avoid this one, try a google & you will see.0

Maybe we should start some sort of "Cat Swap" thingy.........
So forum users can swap their cats to match their carpet colour?????
Then if you fancy a new carpet....... No worries, just log on to the forum and see what cats are on offer for your new carpet colour!!!!
Hmmmmm, maybe it could be called......
"Cats and Mats"?????
Ok, I'll get my coat..................
