Sowing your oats!!

I use rolled oats to make a pastry base for quiches, and despite enjoying it myself, always get good comments.
For an 8" flan dish
4 oz plain or wholemeal flour
4 oz rolled oats or oatmeal
pinch of salt
4 oz marg
2-3 tblsp water
Place flour, oats and salt in mixing bowl and rub in margarine until breadcrumb texture, add water and mix to a firm dough. Turn onto floured surface and knead lightly until smooth. Roll out and use to line an 8" quiche dish. Chill for 15 mins before adding desired filling, and then cook as normal until filling has set.0 -
