Silvercross carrycot

I have just been looking on ebay for a Silvercross Wayfarer chassis as I have a carrycot for it which was only used a couple of times for my daughter and is in one of the new fabrics so it still looks great. The problem is that they don't make wayfarer pushchairs anymore so finding one in good condition is difficult. Here's (at last!!!) my question - does this carrycot fit on a new silver cross chassis as there's loads of newer, more modern ones that look great and from the picture the 'fitting' bits look similar? Sorry it's a bit long-winded but hopefully someone will know.

Have you tried asking silver cross direct via email? Sorry I don't know the answer but that would be my first point of call.....

I have just contacted Silver Cross and they have no idea as the original Silver Cross company have been taken over. If someone has a Silver cross chassis that holds a carrycot could you measure the distance between the grooves that hold it in place for me - if this is the same then it will fit.

they do these two chassis (not sure what the plural is!).

    Linear Chassis
The Linear chassis gives a fine ride, with an easy use, secure brake system, 4 way suspension and a multi position handle and large storage basket. The Linear folds easily and has a locking system for easy storage.

    Classic Chassis
The Classic chassis gives a fine ride, with an easy use, step-on step-off brake system, quick release wheels and a multi position handle. The Classic folds neatly and has an automatic locking device to assist storage.

If noone has one here, you could email kiddicare. com and they are really helpful and will probably measure for you if you hint you might get one from them although I guess at the prices I have seen you would be looking on ebay! I see why you were looking for one of the new ones as the silver is "prettier" than the white! Alternatively, there are always loads of good cond. M&P 2 in 1s or 3 in 1s on ebay which go cheaply and probably more likely to pick up one that you could collect. BTW congratulations, when is the baby due?
