Mozilla firefox problem?

I have been having problems with firefox. For some reason the bottom of the screen is blank and it blocks the bottom of the web pages being viewed.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled and still have the same poblem. Is there a logical reason. I know computers are not logical but you know what I mean.

Have they upgraded and it has affected my computer? Any ideas?

Firefox is currently uninstalled.

The problem is on here and I'm not sure what they mean to get rid of it. It is a problem with the new 1.5 firefox. Does anyone understand from this LINK how to correct it.

EDIT: I have gone HERE and installed the previous version. No problem now. :D

  • Rikki - Looks like an error in the way that Firefox is displaying the some forms of program code used by Web Site developers.

Nothing you've done, looks like you've been unfortunate to browse to some of the web sites that have had the feature (sorry problem) ;)

Make sure you're on the latest Firefox version as it contains some specific security fixes/patches

Use the Firefox extension 'ieview' for those troublesome webpages.
That gum you like is coming back in style.
  • penrhyn - Must admit "ieview" posed more problems than I thought it was worth. Although it pains me to say it, I switch to IE for those few-and-far between troublesome sites. ;)

Sorry to hear that Christie, I find it useful on occasions, and if I need to visit a troublesome site you can set Firefox to always display it in IE via the tools menu, otherwise its only a right click in a given webpage.
