Move out for Repairs

If are landlord is wanting to replaster the flat we rent shouldn’t the landlord help to pay for us to move out while it’s done? The landlord said we will have to live here while they redecorator the flat which includes plastering all the walls and paint them. We want to move out while the work is done due to the dust and lack of room.

Replastering might include getting rid of all the old plaster. That'd be horrid. Almost as horrid as living in a house with newly plastered walls.

The process of plastering new walls is fairly easy -

    Why are they being replastered?

When are you leaving? It is anytime soon?

the flat needs replastering due to the damp and mould growing on the walls and ceiling.

The landlord has agreed to the work needing doing about 2 months ago but has not done any thing yet. Keep saying the insurance company won't pay for us to move out but will pay for the repairs.

We can't relisticly live here while the work is done as the flat is small.

Ring shelter. I don't think it's reasonable for you to stay there - even if he finds you somewhere for a week it would get you through the worst bit .
