I don't think they're iffy ... they're a small company who were just starting out at the time they were supplying the company I used to work for. Since then I think they have expanded quite a bit and I have a sneaky feeling they changed their company name. That may be why only the holding page registers under 3rnet. Their incoming fax thingy still works fine for me.0 -
Just a quick update:
For my own peace of mind I just contacted Richard Robinson - he says they are still 3rNet and their website is down at the moment because it's being revamped. Says if anyone's interested in F2E (fax to email), just drop him an email and he'll allocate a number for you.
... and, no ... I don't get commission :-(0 -
Wonder if anyone can update me on this? The number of faxes I send/receive has gone down dramatically with the advent of broadband and the much larger attachment size permitted, and it no longer seems worthwhile to have a second phone line just for the fax. I don't want to have the phone ringing at 2am with a fax, so efax seems to be the way to go. Like many of the people in Martin's thread in 2004 (see, I did search!:D), I don't particularly like the idea of using a premium national rate number, but I do need a fax receiving facility, and although using a paid one will save me some money over the cost of line rental, it's still quite costly.
I've looked at Yac but it seems to be extortionately expensive for the person sending the fax (between 10.63 and 31.91p/min:eek:). efax don't seem to give any pricing for this at all for their free fax number. Is this still 0870, i.e. about 8p/min? The website given below for 3RNet is down, and has been for some time today.
So, has anyone got any comments/recommendations?
TIA
