Scanner help please

Hi

I am trying to install my scanner but it hasn't installed the software used to edit the picture ect, also when i try to scan it says the cable is not plugged in but it is! is it brokken!???

What OS are you using?

Did you connect the cables before you were asked ?

hi using xp,

wasnt asked to connect them did it before installing!

Nightmare, with most USB items you need to install drivers/software then plug the cable in......or it does what urs has done....

I'd start again, uninstall from control panel.....remove the cable....reboot.....install software again......wait till finished then plug back in.....see if it finds it correctly.

Sorry still doesn't work says its not plugged in and the sanner in the icon tray has a big cross through it!
