Hello all,
I got one of those super cheap Dell Inspiron 1300s that are doing the rounds at the moment and got an extra 256Mb of RAM from Crucial. However, I can't work out where it fits. I took the panel off the bottom and can see the module that's already in there but not where the additional one fits? Does it go underneath the one that's already there?
Has anyone done this and can help?
Thanks

Try flipping the RAM clips out from each side and then see if the chip will sit in
or you may have a frame thar lifts up and fold over so you can access the other side.
May look like this...

Thanks for that. I actually found the instructions on Dell's website unbelievably! I'll give it a try when I get in.BE NICE - IT'S FREE!0

Done it now. The other memory slot is under the first one. So once you remove the existing memory, both slots become visible. Took 5 minutes (including 2 mins to find the small screwdriver set!)BE NICE - IT'S FREE!0
