Hi All,
I bought a Freeview+ recorder from Argos - an Alba which was the cheapest (78.29) twin tuner one available but it keeps freezing for a second or two while i'm watching programmes which is very annoying.
I think I'm going to return it.
Does anyone have any recommendations of a different brand I can get. I don't want to spend over 100 pounds if possible.
thanks

Humax, but won't be in your budget. Alba is cheap and nasty.0

Agree with the humax - probably a bit over budget, but widely regarded as the "rolls royce of pvrs"

Definitely the Humax. You can get the 9150T at Richer Sounds for £129. Has a smaller HD (160GB) than the current 9300T, and no HDMI output, but similar interface.
You get what you pay for with PVR's (like most things) and the Humax is streets ahead I think. No free lunch, and no free laptop

thanks all, definitely sounds like Humax is highly recommended.
I think I'll wait another couple of months then and save a bit more and then get the Humax

Here is my input - Humax0

Humax.. agreed.
You can get one almost within budget from Humax Direct, they are graded, but mine was as new.
9150T or 9200, I would get the 9200 personally.
