Czech airlines

Daughter going to Prague over the weekend and she told me, she has to ring Czech airlines to confirm her departure & arrival. She has got a number in Prague but has asked me to do it in case she cannot do it herself. Is this the norm, it is an 0870 number? Thanks

The reason for re-confirming flight details is so that airline can advise you if there's been any schedule changes. Most (but not all) airlines no longer require you to do this. The following link will take you to the page on the Czech Airlines website that tells you about online checkin (which I guess she'll be doing from the UK and may be able to do when in Prague) and also gives the telephone number if she hasn't got internet access in Prague so that she can do it when she's there. Since it's a Czech phone number it'll be cheaper for her to do it herself from local phone, but you could do it for her provided you don't mind the cost of an international call and are certain you can contact her to tell her if the flight times have changed at all.

There are plenty of internet cafes in Prague which do not cost very much so your daughter could do this herself.

Incidentally, Czech phone numbers begin 00420.
