Paying for a holiday

Hi
I am sure this has been answered *somewhere* but after 14 pages I cant search anymore!
I am about to book a holiday through travelbag, flights with malaysian airlines, and am not sure wether to pay with CC or the cash. Reasons being I understand CC would mean I am covered in event of the airline going bump, and also if travelbag went bump too. Is this correct? If so should I pay by CC for the holiday and incur the 2% charge for peace of mind?
Many Thanks

My best advice was incur the 2% charge unless you can afford to replace your holiday plans without taking a hit in your pocket. I was always in doubt previously until zoom went bust, now anything over £100 goes on the credit card regardless. If we hadn't paid with a credit card (we only did because the credit and debit card fee was the same) then we would of lost over a grand. So that £20 fee per £1000 you get sounds like a pretty good price for the insurance against your holiday.0 -
I have seen in countless posts that if you just pay the deposit with a credit card then the whole amount is covered under the section 75 rule.
Could you maybe find a cc with a cash back status.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

Not strictly true. You need to pay at least £100 by credit card and you also need to pay direct and not via a third party.0 -
