IKEA kitchen delivery?

Hi all,
has anyone had trouble with IKEA deliveries?

I'm hoping to get a kitchen delivered this week as the joiners are coming on Saturday:eek:

I was told in the shop that I'd get a phone call on the 19th to set a delivery time. At 5pm on the 19th I phoned them - and the person on the phone said I would get a phone call in 48 working hours to arrange a delivery time ( and the shop person was wrong)

48 working hours later, I've just phoned them again and after several goes on the 0845 number, (where i could hear people talking and laughing in the background but nobody actually answering the phone) - I was given the number of the delivery place, which was shut.:mad:



- I phoned Ikea again and the next person I spoke to said the delivery place work from 5 am til 1pm so I wouldn't get an answer at 4.30 in the afternoon :mad:

So is it at all likely that I'll get my kitchen this week or will I have to postpone my joiners?:mad:

Its normally the delivey firm that call you. Its not clear from your posting if you specified a day. Check your order paperwork, have you asked & paid for this service. Also your kitchen will come flat pack. Do your joiners know this?

I'm really annoyed that I've been told different things by different people - if someone had told me earlier that deliver shuts at lunchtime then I could have phoned them this morning for instance.
