Dementia takes sometime to get to such a serious state

    Not necessarily.

I work on a specialist dementia care unit and I have seen people go downhill in days. No it doesnt appear overnight but some people manage for a considerable ammount of time, something triggers intervention and they can go downhill extremely quickly after that.

If you can prove that your uncle was not of sound mind when these contracts were started there is a good chance of getting the debts wiped xx

and finally debts to the Exchequer such as outstanding tax or overpaid benefits. .

Strange. I had assumed that under all circumstances the tax man always had first go at getting paid.
