cheap chappie dry food

I have been trying to find the cheapest place to buy chappie dry dog food and have found out today that my local pets at home in Dunbarton are selling 15kg bags of chappie at £14.18 a bag, buy one get one 1/2 price. That's £21.27 for 30kg. The best price I can find anywhere. These bags usually have a very long date on them and keep well. The promotion is on for 4 weeks, I dont know when it started but I think it has just started because when I phoned I was told 'it is on for 4 weeks, so you have plenty of time'

Going a bit off thread here, if you don't mind, can you still get the original 'wet' chappie food? I have a small dog, but I know how good a fish based diet can be for alot of dogs, and don't want to buy the big size tin. I've not seen it in my supermarkets or animal food place where I get his other stuff.

  • When I was researching dog food I tried to find out what was in Chappie but failed miserably as it wasnt on their website. Can anyone post the ingredients of dry AND wet Chappie please? I ask because we are having trouble finding something that suits. If the original one is still available and it is fish based, what sort of fish is it and what sort of cereal?

No idea of the ingredients - all I know is that when I had my Old English and she was a puppy, I had problems and she got the runs big time!! Not pleasant. The vet recommended Chappie and I never looked back. Now I would like to include it as part pf my little Jim's diet but think you can only get it in big tins which is annoying..... I am not a fan of dry food and as Jim is not a big drinker, think it would be a bad idea for him to have a dry food diet. I've heard that dry food can cause kidney problems?? Don't know if that is true or not.

and I have 10 of the 800g ( i think - the middle sized tins that usually sell for about 90p-£1 each) at home - that someone is welcome to come and collect ( id appreciate a donation to a charity in return, but to be honest. I just want rid - they have been stored outside my back door and the labels arent all there, and the tins are going a little rusty - but Im positive the meat and the insides are absolutely fine!) PM me if you would like them !!! (Im in Dorset)
Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup

Yes you can still get the 400g tins

They do a chicken one and an original ( fish ) one in Tesco

My Tesco is a big extra and its a 6 multi pack but my dog loves it
Sometimes I wake up grumpy, other times I let him sleep !:rotfl:
