Now that we have had our new fence put up it makes the garden look smaller. Does anybody know colour I should paid it to make the garden grow longer and wider?

You'll probably find that your perception changes over time. Because the fence is new you are probably 'seeing' it as more prominant than it really is. As your mind gets more used to it being there it's likely to blend more into the garden.
That said, choosing a colour which blends with your garden instead of standing out will help to hide it. I found that changing from a light, rusty brown to a good deep, dark brown made my panel fence all but disappear.0 -
I used green which made a massive differnce.Keep smiling, G.0

I've painted mine green too in an attempt to blend it in.
Whatever you do, don't paint it in this weather. It's too cold for the paint. Check the side of the container for temperature and weather conditions before painting and wait till it warms up.0 -
yep I'm a green fan too, it seems to blend in well with the plants and look less obvious than other coloursLaughter is the sun

Dark brown for me every time. No green I have seen looks anything other than artificial to me. Above all avoid the horrid red cedar which is just simply awful. THis is one of the jobs I'm not looking forward to doing in Spring as ours is currently sporting a bleached look!0
