Accident only involving me, what to do with insurance.

Dont ya just hate it when that happens, 2 cars of mine have broken down and been unrepairable the day after putting £20 in the tank :rolleyes:You should have seen the car afterwards! I couldn't believe I'd just clambered out of the back window with nothing but cut on my knuckle.
I was strangely calm afterwards too, it was all a bit surreal. I think I was mostly annoyed that I'd just filled it up with petrol!
When you say it is for information purposes only do that mean it won't effect my no claims?
Glad your unhurt though!:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -
Well the insurers have been told and I've just found out that I'll be stumped with a £250 recovery fee for the vehicle. Awesome. I was getting it sorted myself until the police arrived and called someone in.
Eh well, such is modern life.
Thanks for all the nice messages though.0 -

All it is so the company has a record of what has happened they might not even be interested, but at least you have told them.
Plus it cover's your back, your ncd stays intact.Spending my time reading how to fix PC's,instead of looking at Facebook.0 -

They didn't seem to be all that interested to be honest. I'll be getting an accident report form in the post and that should be the end of it... we'll we'll see when the policy comes up for renewal!0 -
Trouble is, a lot of insurance proposals now ask if you've had any accidents in the last 5 years. When changing companies it might affect your quote. This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0

Someones ripped you of there mate as the national recovery cost when using the Police scheme is £150. Sounds like £100 straight into the back pocket of the garage.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. My Dad said the same when in A&E whilst laying on a spinal board with fractured wrist, broken shoulder, half a dozen+ broken ribs and a broken nose.
Hubby joked with him that if he wanted a cabriolet there was easier ways of getting one.
(he got hit head on and had to be cut out)
I am glad you are ok though, that's all what matters at the end of the day.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
