Poll: Council Tax as a proportion of income

in Cutting tax
I'm interested to know how much Council Tax people pay as a proportion of your gross household income.
I've just seen our bill for the coming year, and it's now 3% of our income. For our neighbour, who pays the same CT as us but earns less, I would gues that it's around 5%. This seems to me to be quite a lot - just curious how this compares with other people.
If you receive CT Benefit please calculate based on the amount that you actually pay yourself.
Edit: Please use 2009-10 Council Tax figures if you know them.

Well up until last week it was about 2.5% of our income but unfortunately we are now down to one income so it is up to about 4.5%0

Having been made redundant a couple of weeks ago, my only income is JSA, so council tax is approximately 37% of my monthly income. Ouch!0
-
Ouch indeed. Do you qualify for CT benefit?0
-
No, unfortunately not - savings are more than 16K, so JSA is the only thing I can get, and that's only for 6 months of course. After that there will be nothing (sob). Could be worse though, at least I don't have a mortgage.0

my dads council tax (band c) is 1150 a year, his income is 12,500 so nearly 10%!
our council tax is band A and we have two incomes so its about 3.5%0 -
