Quick Q - re 0% BTs

Options
Hi everybody... Excuse my ignorance if this is a stupid question - or one that's answered elsewhere but just had a quick look round the site and can't find a definite answer.

The 0% period on my Virgin credit card is coming to an end soon and I'm struggling to clear the debt in time (although I can just about manage it at a stretch)

Is it worth my while applying for the Abbey card in order to pay off the final chunk on the Virgin card, and to use up my ISA allowance (which would take the whole year to do gradually otherwise), or does the one-off charge outweigh the benefit?

Thanks in advance

The one-off charge would be cheaper than paying interest on the Virgin card. Ask Virgin if they are willing to extend the 0% deal by a few months.

Or get a 0% for spending card and put as many of your bills as you can on it to help to repay the Virgin card faster, this will only be better than a balance transfer if it'll let you clear the Virgin card in a few months.

Using the ISA allowance is something you should do if you expect to be able to use most of it in future years.
