any idea on prices folks? Our wee dog is by nature a scruffy wee thing and think it's about time we get her looking as if she is loved! She is of westie size i think.

I was looking an idea of what prices to expect as we have never been to a dog groomer before as we always done it ourselves but would really like to treat the dog as we love her to bits :D

We were just looking to get her tidied up so to speak so as she doesnt look so scruffy :rotfl:

So what prices are you guys paying and for what type of grooming?

    cheers!

we have a king charles spaniel so a little bit larger than a westie but not much.
we pay £25 for the grooming process (wash, cut and nails).

nails and all done for that? thats a really good price then in my opinion. Can i ask who you use? I would doubt anyone would do it cheaper than that so I would just go to your groomer if it's not too far away.

i go to Tom at Groomingology 94433088.
it is millbank road which is off the antrim road going out a couple of miles from sandyknowes roundabout towards templepatrick.

Just clarify the price when you ring because I have used him for around 5 years and it has always stayed the same (!) so not sure if it will be higher for newer customers.
Also bear in mind that he has a very good reputation so gets very booked up in advance - for example when i was there in june he already has bookings for xmas!

good luck and let us know how you get on!

I brought my Irish Wheaten Terrier there for a wash and trim. They shaved him down to the skin and left little cuts on him. They said they
had to do it because his hair was too matted. In my opinion they did an awful job and didn't want to take the time to leave him looking like a normal dog. I could have bought a shaver and done a better job cheaper than they charged me - £35.00. Make sure you know exactly what they are going to do if you have a curly haired dog.

A dip and a clip in Whiteabbey is good and not too pricey

The Dog Warden at Antrim Borough Council might be able to advise you on a good dog groomer.
