Nothing will happen.
All part of the scam. People's lack of knowledge about small claims court and CCJs is something these scamsters thrive on.0 -
I've just got a parking ticket from County Parking Agency Ltd for parking with a ticket but not in a designated parking space because there weren't any. This was at a hospital.
2 years ago I received a parking ticket from G4 for parking in a carpark at a retail park for 8 minutes over the 2 hours free parking. Following advice from here and other sites I completely ignored all letters asking for money and all the threats they sent. I heard nothing after 6 months.
Now this has happened and I am seriously peed off to have another one. I am not sure if this is different because it is a NHS hospital car park although a private parking agency. I received a letter stuck to the window saying if I don't pay up in 14 days they will get my address from DVLA and send a summons etc and refer to DCA etc etc. I am going to do the same I think, ignore but it takes a lot to hold your nerve!!Debtfree JUNE 2008 - Thank you MSE:T0 -

Ignore it. Even though it's on NHS property it is still the same as any other PPC "Invoice". In any case they can only invoice the driver and how will they know who that is unless you tell them. The Registered Keeper is not liable, only the driver. So sit back and fill your recycling bin with the junk mail that will arrive.0 -
My husband received a "remote" parking ticket from a private firm six weeks after the event. He was not driving at the time but as he is the registered keeper of the car the private firm got his details from the DVLA. He replied using the template letter on this site. The firm wrote back quoting the 1991 Road Traffic Act about PCNs and that my husband was liable as the registered keeper. My husband wrote back and pointed out that the 1991 Road Traffic Act referred to Penalty Charge Notices issued by the Police and Local Authorities, not private companies. The firm have since just sent out standard letters increasing the money demand and now have sent a final demand and say that the agency will automatically file the claim to the courts if we do not settle. They have given the name of the court, the date and the time. I realise reading this site that my husband would have been better off ignoring the letters but what do we do now? Is it just another threatening letter to get us to cough up? If it goes to court what do we do?
Please help!
That is Fraud plain and simple - it should be reported to the police in writing along with copies of the documentary evidence. Better yet get a solicitor to report it for you.police will pay more attention.
The PPC faces up to 12 months jail if convicted in Magistrate's Court and up to ten years if convicted at Crown. get the Solictor to mention the Proceeds of Crime Act as well, the Crown may take a LOT more from the PPC than the statutory fines (which can be imposed in addition to the jail terms)
The sooner crooks like this are jailed the better.0 -
Just to let anyone interested know - we never heard from these people again after we ignored their letter threatening court proceedings. Thank you everyone as we nearly paid up £135 (which we could not afford) at the last minute to avoid the worry and stress. The advice received strengthened our resolve.

I can feel the joy in your message.
The only time I got a "ticket" from a private company on NHS, because I was with my mother in the wrong bay (despite her having a blue badge), I wrote to the Doctor of the hospital, the Chief Executive of the Trust, the MP for the area, my MP and the local newspaper. Guess what - they withdrew the charge !!Thank you for reading this message.0
