I am not entirely sure why this is a 'misuse' of the system? Surely where a person learns about a feedback promotion should not effect the results of said feedback?

Nivea still receive their market research, which I am sure is both useful and financially valuable, and the person who left it gets their payment. How is that different to normal?

And if the 'misuse' comes from people pretending to have used Nivea products to get the coupon, again how does Nivea or anyone know how reliable their internet market research ever is? I am sure that practically everyone in the UK has been a Nivea customer at some point or other.

Should not this be deemed a roaring success, given that nivea has received a bumper lot of feedback in a short space of time?

The feedback form was open to the general public, and was not targetted.

If nivea does not want the general public to complete their feedback perhaps they should spend some of their resources developing ways in which only targetted audiences can apply.

    That's my thoughts anyway.

Nivea have had some free advertising, 100's of people have been to the site who would not have normally. I wasn't one of the people who left feedback hoping for a coupon but I still take offence to the term misuse and not being a valued customer. They really need a lesson in people/communication skills well here goes, you should have said "due to this thread, overwhelming response etc etc unfortunately we cannot offer any more coupons, but please still visit the site and leave feedback etc etc."
Well Nivea need not be concerned with this non-valued customers potential to misuse, as I shall not be buying any Nivea products again EVER.

    Hello Nivea
I only had a look at your website as a result of the first post, and one of your products sounded ideal for my husband, so I posted on his behalf to that effect and he has just received two samples of that product in the post. Ours was genuine feedback, as he has not been happy with the previous rival product he was using, so we feel rather miffed that you think we have abused your system - foolish me for thinking that this was what it was intended for.
Please don't acuse MSE users of abuse - you have gained lots of publicity and many potential new customers (my husband for one)
I think you should have done as PrincessCoupon suggested and worded your post less rudely..........
