Converting OMG to WAV/mp3

I lent my laptop to a friend so he could upload his music to an mp3 player - unfortunately he's used Sony Sonic and the tracks are all in .omg format. Is there a way to get them into .wav or .mp3 format please?
Or, is the answer to just sit and upload again using CDex??
Thanks

Love that format name/acronym.

In quality terms, normally best to re-encode from source.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Will the files play on the laptop? If so you could record them in Audacity http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ using the "what u hear" source for recording, if it won't open the files, then export as a .wav or .mp3 but this would take a while0

Yes, they play on the laptop - could use Audacity but suspect there'd be a loss of quality. Will give it a try though, so thanks for the suggestion.0 -
You really don't want to do that, it'll ruin the quality more than just straight re-encoding.
If they're .OMG they'll probably be DRM'd, so you'll be wanting to remove the DRM first off. Probably an iffy subject on here, so it's off to google.
They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0
