I am not sure if all of those legal quotes are still relevant?

    They are still very relevant.

Looks like that could be a letter from the CAG forum (bloomin love those guys).

If they ignore that letter then i guess they're as dim as we think they are :)

They are obviously automated letters sent out in sequence which would only be cancelled by a call to their call centre.

I just ignore them and so far they have:

    1. Told me that they are going to take legal action with no further warning.

    2. "Passed your debt to a doorstep collection agancy" (So much for no further warning)

    3. Offered me a reduced settlement.

    4. Sent me a letter from "Hampton Legal" threatening court action.

    5. Given up.

Did you actually get people knocking around from a doorstep collection agency?

Do you think sending a copy of this letter would be the next best thing to do? I am not sure if all of those legal quotes are still relevant?

Send the letter, Steve - what 'Red Debt (Lowells)' have sent you is a 'standard' letter - they know that the 'debt' is unenforceable and have resorted to trying to 'scare' you into lining their coffers.

Yes, it's an excellent letter, especially the comments at the end about 'the complaint not going away'. My wife can't believe that I am actually going to send that out!

I shall send it out tomorrow, hopefully it will work, I just want this matter to be over with ASAP.
