Barclays Reserve - When Will I Be Charged

Hi, this is my first post so please by kind.
Im a uni student with a 150 pounds reserve limit. I need to go into this reserve on the 5th April, to pay a bill. As my uni loan isnt going in until the 20th April. My question is when will barclays charge me for going into this reserve, will it be on the 5th day as they charge every 5 days, or the end of the month. Also am i able to withdraw the reserve as cash or only for direct debits.
Thanks for your help.

I'm sorry I cannot remember exactly what happens.
If I do remember something correctly, it is that you will be charged £22 for every 5 working days you are in the reserve facility. I'm not sure if that starts from working day 5 or if you get charged £22 on the day you use the reserve and then every 5 working days. I think in your case the maximum you will have to pay is £66.
As for your other question I do not know if you can continue to withdraw while being in the reserve.

I'm sure someone more knowledgable will be along soon
• I need a guarantee guys as i don't have the money to waste and im trying to cut the final cost down.

you will be charged 14 days (IIRC) after your next statement but for sure not on 5th April and not on the 5th day after that
as people on here were charged reserve fee when they used debit card for buying goods, I guess you can as well withdraw the cash from ATM

You can use the full reserve for anything for 5 days, that is what the reserve with fee is for.

clear and simple.

Go over the 5 days and another fee kicks in.

I read the following as saying the fee is charged on day 1,6.....

Reserve Usage Fees
You’ll incur a Reserve Usage Fee for the first five consecutive working days from when you start using your Reserve.

And if you’re still using your Reserve after that time you’ll pay another Reserve Usage Fee for each subsequent period of five consecutive working days

But from the FAQ it does not get added to the account till later.

You will be given at least 14 days’ advance notice on your statement of the total of any Reserve Usage Fees, Returned Transaction Fees and Guaranteed Transaction Fees to be debited from your account.

So when is your statement date that should determine the date the charges get added.
