    Does it????

I know from Central to Fawdon takes 17-19 minutes (mum lives near Fawdon)
Fawdon to Callerton Parkway is about 10 minutes (used to work at Callerton Parkway, Metro was at 6.40 was at work for just before 6.55)
Then about 5-7 minutes from Callerton to Airport.

Thats about 35 minutes - not that long!!!!!! Or has it changed??? If so could someone let me know as we're going to the Falcons v Tigers game at Kingston Park on Friday and we dont want to miss the start of the match!!!!!!

I concede it might be more like 40 minutes. Quite some time since I took the metro. But even so I would budget at least one hour between landing and getting the train at Newcastle central.

Kingston Park is a good deal close to the airport than central station.

I travel to Newcastle Airport frequently from Park Lane in Sunderland and the journey time is stated as 61 minutes. It's about 30 mins max from Airport to Central Station, I always know I'm halfway there by the time I'm at Central!

Official travel time from Airport to Monument is "about 25 minutes" and to Gateshead is "about 28 minutes". So one can assume from Airport to Central is about 27 minutes.
    Airport timetable

    Edit:
Actually, one doesn't have to assume Central timetable
Did you really mean to put loose?
Lose: no longer possess, not to retain, unable to find
Loose: not firmly or tightly fixed in place

Thanks for responses- have been and come back again !

£196 for two on train including rail card. £44 for Travel Lodge. Cheaper train fare going via Birmingham rather than London but took 6 hours each way.

i thin best plan is advance fares in future and advance hotel bookings - travel lodge was fine but but I could havegot it for £19 if done in advance.

I take peoples points re other Universities but if someone has worked hard enough to get offers from good unis then in my view we should try and support them.

i went away to university- to warwick where I would not get in now! and I think Uni is a key opportunity to see something else rather than your home town and to separate .

    Best wishes
