    Evening everybody

Just another quick post from me to say Thank you for all your lovely wishes and thoughts and hugs and messages and emails and......everything!!!

You totally overwhelm me with your support and kindness and I just cannot find enough words to express how your warmth and caring makes me feel!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I have been trying to catch up on the old thread and have been creating a post of replies but keeping losing my connection - nothing new there - and was going to do an explanation of the last few days with it but will do it now so you are all up to date!

As you know I went to my cancer clinic on thursday morning and it has been decided that i wuill be having radiotherapy as they feel it might do better than the chemo - they had been saving it for 'a rainy day' but we have decided to try it now while we can.
As you also know I was needing my muscle treatment so after leaving the clinic I had to go to the neuro ward to see when I could get fitted in as I will need to be at my 'best' to get through the RT - when I got to the ward they felt i should just come in there and then! They were a bit concerned about my breathing!!! Anyway I came home on the next bus and packed a case phoned a few people and was back in the ward at 5.45 and started on my treatment that night.
I always get 5 lots of it so all going well I should have got home last night but things went a bit boobs up - being Manic monday I think!! - so by the time i got finished it was 7.30 so was persuaded to stay until today.

I had managed to get a laptop but hadnt got it set up and forgot to get an ISP disc to take with me - tried everything i could think of and the nurses too but couldnt get online - sorry!!! - I was sooooooooooo bored and missing you all soooooooooooo much it was a long 5 days!!!!

I was no sooner home today than I got a phone call from the RT dept to say I have to go in on Thursday to get the planning done for my treatment so looks like my treatment will be starting nxet week ish which is a lot sooner than I expected so its a bit scary!!! But I will get through it - I have to!!!

So my lovelies that my news - got very little flying done over the last 5 days - did keep my bed table clean and tidy and made my bed a couple of times but thats about it - apart from making friends with a lovely elderly lady with motor neurone's disease and had her in fits of laughter as much as poss and then yest a very young woman (21/22ish) from washingtonDC was admitted in bed beside me with very severe epileptic type fits and she was lovely and we got her laughing too as she was on her own. The nurses were in despair at the commotion we were causing but everybody was happy and that was the main thing!!

back on topic - I have done 2 loads of washing, deleted 74 emails, made food and S&S the kitchen as well as 4 phone calls!

will be posting catch ups soon!!!
    toots xx
    Peace will be mine
could do better - must try harder

Toots - it sounds like you've had a tough week, but you certainly seem to have made the most of it. I hope you aren't to stressed about the radiotherapy - you know we'll all be sending positive vibes to help it along. Do you know roughly how long you'll be in this time? And is there anything that we can do to help you prepare/help you through it/help you when you get home?

Lots of hugs, love and prayers coming your way. Remember, we need you, so you have to get yourself back on form so you can look after us properly!

Easiest way to do this (if you don't find any) is to get some cloudy lemonade and add a little bit of ribena/vimto or grape juice!

Toots! Good to see you back but *shudder* on the treatment

I am seriously run down, covered in a rash (itching and scabbing over - looks like Chicken Pox!)

Thank you for all the hugs, I shall pass them on to my mum  :A
AbbieB I think Tesco have pink lemonade and they did have bottles of children's bubbly with Disney princesses on the label but I think they were about £2 a bottle.

I haven't done anything today as I've been on my split shift again. I was looking for tomorrows list so I could print it off for my mum but it's not there . I'll check again in the morning, I'm tired so having an early night :hello:

Twinkly Tuesday - Kitchen and dining room
    Done!
    Level One
    [strike]Clear and wipe worksurfaces
Scrub down the front of units and large appliances[/strike]

    Extras
    1. [strike]Clean the cr*p from the top of the fridge, things that don't have a place live there - well no longer!
    2. Declutter one of the drawers in the kitchen
    3. Do at least one load of washing
    4. Use feminine wiles to get t'other half to do the dishes...[/strike]
I didn't even have to use my wiles to get t'other half to do the dishes, he had done them by the time I got home from work, woo! He did look at me like I was mental when he came into the kitchen and found me cleaning the front of all the units though :rotfl:

I decluttered the smallest drawer in the kitchen (Start easy!) but have done two loads of washing, made dinner and am about to go to have a quick S&S around the living room before bed time.

    Night all!

Evening ladies, I've finished my ironing.

Jo - well done on the dining room, I love that feeling of walking past an area that has been sorted, I do the same and keep looking

Soappie - I'm happy you got the funding, well done

MoF - so sorry you didn't get on the course, that sucks hun

Toots - You sound like a wonderful person to share a ward with I bet you made a real difference to your fellow patients stay

DH is plumbing in the new DW so hopefully that will be up and running for the morning.

Off to bed now and I'm going to have a look at some books I got out of the library whilst DS3 was as the Beavers Roller Skating bash (which is conveniently next door to the libray). I need to try to switch my mind off to help me sleep.

Hugs and heartfelt thanks to you all.
