bought a Panasonic Viera 32" TX-32LXD80 3 months ago but today i started having problems with it.
when I turn it on at the button on the tv the tv screen remains blank but there is a red light on the front (meaning on standby according to the instructions).
when I try pressing any button on the remote control the red light flickers as if it is communicated to but nothing happens. Tried the buttons on the tv itself but nothing happens.
have tried taking plug out of the wall socket for 10 seconds and restarting but still nothing.
anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

Is there a channel down (-/<) button on the front of the TV. Mine comes on from standby if you press and hold this for 3 seconds0

you need to press for a few seconds 3-5 secs. Press (1) for 5 secs and you get bbc1
I have noted if you are viewing and hit the power switch, it just comes straight back on next time. If you enter standby and then switch off, it returns to standby at next time you switch on. HTH0
