    Thanks Fengirl, the company is waiting for it's VAT reg number, so the 40p method is not going to be applicable I guess.

    I'm pretty sure that you can go down the 40p/25p route even if you are VAT registered. Well, I hope so as I'm self employed and have been claiming for 5 years :eek:

  • the vehicle will be used to travel to and from work...For personal use it would only be local

    Can I just mention that travelling to/from your usual place of work from home counts as personal miles, not business.
