I just hate it when ....

I have something bought by another seller with dreadful feedback and stars. I always worry that they want to bring other sellers down to a lower level to make them look good.

Stupid I know but I've just had an item won by a buyer who is primarily a seller, the feedback is around the 97.8 % mark but stars are low at between 4.4 -4.6.

Otherwise I have decided I am a fan of this free listing for 99p, I'm selling cupboard loads of old stuff I've been hoarding for years, I may actually end up with some room in the house after all! I've even had a question from a buyer asking me whether I had more of a certain item (oh yes, cupboard loads :D) as she would be interested in a private deal to save me bothering to list them.

I'm not the slightest bit happy about the 99p free listing. I've had the worst week for sales in the last year! Can't work out whether it is all the extra items or the 'credit crunch'. Trying to decide whether I should convert my Buy-it-Now items to auctions. I'm fed up!

AS usual though the stuff I was convinced would sell is going unsold, the bits and bobs dragged up from the back of cupboards is flying. I've 7 bidders on one item I wouldn't have thought twice about actually chucking away!

Isn't that against ebay rules & you're supposed to report it........

Perhaps I need to join in and trawl through my cupboards! Maybe I'll leave the business account and try and make a bit selling my unwanted stuff on the personal one. It could be the way forward :D

Ah, but as far as I am concerned this stuff would never have been listed on ebay. I sold an item and buyer emailed to thank me and asked if I had more similar items and we are currently exchanging details. The items were never listed, have not been listed and probably would have been dumped. Oh, and none of the emails have gone anywhere near ebay, so I think other users would have difficulty reporting me .

Just to mention as well that offering items from stock is not actually disallowed, the forbidden bits relate to offering something on ebay and then removing it to sell privately or contacting bidders on other peoples auctions and offering your own goods. I am also quite happy to have my Amazon shop (and it used to be my ebid items) linked into my signature when I emailed my ebay buyers, again all perfectly acceptable.

    Taken from Ebay rules....;)

If you have received an unsolicited email offer to purchase an item that is not related to a specific item number, see eBay's Spam policy page for information on how to report the offer.

"Unsolicited" is from someone you haven't dealt with, if a transaction has been completed and the buyer has sent a subsequent email then it is far from being unsolicited or Spam.

I've just had a similar transaction, buyer has really bad selling record, been an Ebayer for 7 years and was really late with paying.
After a 5 day and a subsequent 7 day reminder he started stalling asking questions that anyone who'd been on Ebay that long would know the answer to, so I opened a dispute and have just received payment. I've still got a sneaky feeling he'll end up giving me a neg, just because he's had so many.

Thank you, that shows that my buyer asking me if I had more was perfectly well within any ebay rules then. Or are you suggesting I should report my buyer for daring to ask me if I had any other similar things as she would be interested ;)
