Are people getting regular deliveries now? I had imagined we would be getting a steady stream of mail from the old stuff but it is almost as if they are still on strike, we aren't getting daily mail and when we do get mail it has been one or two items of recent junk mail. Very frustrating!!0

To claim you need a P58 form which you can get from post office and fill it in and send with your date stamped envelope of the item you are claiming for0

I was in the Toome street Post Office on Thursday to collect a special delivery item, heard the guy who worked there tell another customer that the backlog was down from 8 million items to 2 million items.
I'm still waiting on a two items, a book whick should have been delivered 7/8th Feb (and cost about £9) and an item from ebay that caost £10.25. At least if i get £10 compensation for each I'll basically have gotten them for free. Why do companies offer you "free gifts?"
Since when has a gift NOT been free?0 -
anyone else still waiting?0

The news reported last night of big bundles of mail being found after having been binned by the agency workers hired to supplement the regular staff. In addition to that I have found out that Royal Mail has been leaving big bags of post at the cornershop for pickup by the agency workers, who have not been picking up the mail from the shop and which could explain the drips and drabs we have been getting (and the days when no post comes at all). As well, when we do get mail it is for our neighbours and we walk it round to the correct houses ourselves. But no one has come to our home with any misdelivered mail. I would imagine if we are consistently getting others mail then others must be getting some of ours?
This is a terrible mess and Royal Mail is failing miserably at sorting it out.0 -

I know you are entitled to £10 if its more than 11 days old but how exactly do you go about claiming it?
Is it as simple as bringing in the franked envelopes and asking for a tenner or do you have to provide more proof?
Anyone done this yet?Never argue with an idiot. They bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.0
