Has anyone claimed for delayed 1st class post?
I know you are entitled to £10 if its more than 11 days old but how exactly do you go about claiming it?
Is it as simple as bringing in the franked envelopes and asking for a tenner or do you have to provide more proof?
Anyone done this yet?

Perhaps the money is lost in the post !!!Never argue with an idiot. They bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.0 -
With any luck they will take the money out of the wage packets of the illegal strikers.

It has been brought to our attention that there is a way for Companies to claim back compensation for late mail, due to the recent postal strike. For general claims, a P58 form must be obtained from the post office and completed for every letter. However, for bulk claims for compensation Royal Mail Customer Services have agreed the following:
Covering letter detailing company name etc, how many envelopes claimed for & amount
All original envelopes should be date stamped on receipt and included with above letter
Forward to Royal Mail Customer Services, PO Box 740, Belfast, BT1 1GG
They have agreed to respond within 5-7 working days.0 -

Our problem is that almost all our delayed mail wasnt stamped until they started back again! In many instanes, it wasnt stamped at all..... so we cant claim anything2 + 2 = 4
except for the general public when it can mean whatever they want it to.0 -
