    Hello QTPie,

Hope you have learnt some thing tonight and that you cease posting nonsense about `equity release`.
You could mislead people just as you have mislead yourself.

    "Releasing Equity" != "Equity Release".

Try re-reading the OP's post: the OP was the one enquiring about "releasing equity".

Now dear, try going back to school and learning some manners (i.e. not being so insulting towards other posters  ).

  • Im in a similar situation i have just had a btl mortgage accepted by C and G, my current property is valued at 150,000 and we are going to borrow 105000 pounds and take 55000 out for our deposit for our residential property, when and if it comes up.

I think you are okay in doing it has long has you have got plenty of equity, but with only just having 25% i would give it a miss and wait a while.

We are just waiting for some bargains to come up and then we will make our move, but like ive said in post's before the houses just dont seem to be dropping around by us, having said that the rental properties especially 3 bed roomed houses dont last on the market very long at all.
  • if you can afford both house it ok to keep the old one. it really hard giving up an old house
Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure.

we are in a position that if we rent out house out it will pay the mortgage, and maybe in a few more years it might be easier to sell, if not and the renting goes well, we will just keep on renting it out.

Ive heard horror stories about renting, but having looked at all the risks i am willing to take a chance.

    Hello socrates !

I note that today you have made 13 posts, on various threads covering a time span from 11.03am to 7.21pm. I have read all of them and can only conclude that you prove the rule that `empty vessels make the most noise`

    What say you?

I look forward to your reply.

More than happy to discuss any of them - I looked over some of yours - the words pot, kettle and black come to mind.

    socrates,

There is nothing in your posts of any substance so what is there to discuss?

Perhaps, as far as this thread is concerned you might elaborate on `equity release` but sadly, as in your numerous other posts you miss the salient points.

I cannot help it if you are a slow learner, but I suppose we have to tolerate your type on this website.
