Were they pressing buttons on the computer monitor? If so they have probably changed the display settings of the monitor itself. Unfortunately the menus on each different make/model of monitor are different, but if you hit the Menu button, you should find a "Restore factory defaults" option.
  • Yes you are quire right the buttons on the monitor ( whilst im cooking !) Have had a look at screen on this page(cant see menu ) and on if i minimise and get start up screen cant see menu on that either. Ive got vista does that make a difference ? Thanks for taking time out to help

It's nothing to do with Vista, they have changed the display geometry with the buttons on the monitor.

  • have had a good read of the site you recommended got as far as the picushion bit but it doesnt tell me what the buttons on the front do which is how i made it worse myself.
How do i just go back to factory settings that would be the easiest and hopefully the quickest !

Surely the icons on the OSD give a clue as to what needs adjusting to correct the display?

The monitor's manual or, as kevin0410 has said, the On-Screen Display should give you the necessary information.

If you don't have the manual, try googling for one for that make & model.

Is there a Button on the monitor labelled "Auto" - if so press that and see if it defaults -- Dave
