Revamping old kitchen

Options
Looking for a bit of advice/guidance here.... we have a 13 year old kitchen. The cupboard doors are pine but I reckon the end shelves / pelmet over window and kicker boards are ? mdf/melamine ...
Was thinking of buying Crown Cupboard Makeover paint ... would this work on the kicker boards and end shelves as well as the main cupboard doors and also how durable would it be (I childmind from home).
Any advice on whether this would be a good idea or the right way to go about it would be really appreciated. I cannot afford a new kitchen but would love a change from this orangey pine.

you dont need the special cuboard paint.
just use the correct primer and use almost any make paint for the topcoat.
i used a BQ topcoat 3 yrs ago now. its been fine since.
    Get some gorm.

I have repainted my kitchen cupboard doors with Crown Cupboard makeover paint. This was about 8 years ago. The results were pretty good and the paint has mostly lasted very well, where I painted over melamine/laminate. It started to come away where i had to paint over pine, after about 4 years, but this was on the main handle area.

    Hope this helps.

I am just sitting counting ... 13 full size doors, 2 smallish doors, winerack, 6 drawers, end shelves top and bottom and one end, pelmet over rather large window - never mind kicker boards .....my wee idea is going to be one mean feat!! But I am glad to hear success stories and that putting in a load of work will be worth it! My BIL suggests coating it all in acrylic varnish after doing 2/3 coats of the cupboard pain .... not sure if this is necessary?
