Lidl seeds & other brands

I've been growing plants from seed for years now, and must say that Lidl's 29p seeds are very good. I've often had better results from theirs than I have from expensive packets. You often get different Euro varieties too.
They are the best of the budget brands IMO!
Wilkinsons seeds are poor - I would advise against them. I only get Thompson & Morgan when there's a free offer in the paper and I can honestly say that Lidl are better!

I agree that Lidl seeds are excellent. I always seem to get better germination from them than the more expensive suppliers.0

I do like Lidl seeds! Often the varieties are unusual, and I have seen the same seed varieties from Italian seed merchants for ten times the price, However, I wouldn't necessarily discount Wilkinsons seeds, I have never had a bad packet of them, quite a few people I know use them year in, year out. What makes you dislike them, joolzred?0

When I've bought them over the past 5 years or so I've invariably had pretty poor results, poor germination especially. The worst was 2 summers ago when only one seed from 16+ courgettes germinated!
Perhaps I've just had bad luck - or they just don't like me equally!0 -
Aldi have been good. Mixed views on Wilkos always had problems with there plants and summer bulbs.Morrisons have been fine for me. Dont have a Lidl near me0

Noticed in Netto last week, they had seeds for 19p per packet.0
